Needle Felting in Quilts : Examples and Workshop

Because I have used Needle Felting to embellish many of my quilts, and
done some with total needle felted wool, then stitched like a quilt, people
have requested that I teach a workshop so they can learn how this
technique, with wool and other fabrics, can be worked into quilts.

After doing a trial class here at home with a few friends, I taught this class at
a quilt shop/ Baby Lock dealer here in California.  They sold 5 machines
before the day was over.  Please see the examples of my needle felted
quilts, some samples for the workshop, and a few from the workshop
students below.

Materials fee of $20 covers:
Wool base fabric, one for a landscape and one for a flower, 9X12
inches
All the wool roving and yarns to be felted into the pieces
Stabilizer to iron onto the back of one of the pieces
A variety of other fabrics to create different textures and reflections
Sponge to baste the felting into before using the machines
(this may be purchased by the student if they wish)

Students need to purchase a
Clover hand felting tool, and bring pins
and scissors.  If they have an Embellishing Machine, they need to
bring it.

The store needs to furnish a couple of machines for the students to
use during the workshop.  Four students can share one machine.  I
will share mine as well.

Please email or call if you are interested in holding this workshop.
